Dr. Converse joined the AMCL team at the Brambleton location when it opened in July 2007. Given away by her accent and sense of hospitality, it is evident that she has spent a great of deal of time in the heart of the Southern USA. Dr. Converse was raised in Arkansas and attended college and earned her Bachelors degree from the Oklahoma State University. In 2001, she obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, and has been a licensed practitioner ever since. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is USDA Accredited.

From the time she was a child, Dr. Converse knew she wanted to help animals. There was never a doubt in her mind about where she wanted her career path to take her – being a veterinarian just came naturally. When asked what sets Dr. Converse apart from other veterinarians, one of her clients said, “Dr. Converse is not only a honest, direct, and thorough practitioner, but she also kind hearted, compassionate and attentive to our needs.” Her coworkers have also come to appreciate her for her ability to instinctually solve complicated medical cases without having to rely on a battery of expensive laboratory tests. When asked about this, she bashfully admits, “I love what I do so much that I guess the answers just come naturally; plus, the several years of experience also help a great deal! I’ve found that when you take the time to consider your patient’s case individually, the diagnosis is usually evident.” It’s no surprise that her clients appreciate this philosophy as well!

In her spare time, Dr. Converse enjoys traveling, a good work out, and cozy times curled up with a good book. At work, her special interests include senior medicine and soft tissue surgery.
