Of course, your pet's health is a priority, no matter the hour, and emergencies can happen at any time. As a pet owner, it’s good to have a plan in place, in case of a serious injury or sudden illness. Our dedicated team of experienced veterinarians and staff are here to be a part of that plan and provide time-sensitive, compassionate care for emergencies.

Urgent Care at Both Locations During Business Hours

When a pet requires emergency care during our normal business hours, call the closest location and our team will do what they can do get you in. However, Animal Medical Centers of Loudoun is not staffed 24/7, so if you have after-hour emergencies, please contact one of the hospitals listed below.

Our standard business hours are the following, but holidays and other events may affect this schedule:

  • Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Our team includes skilled emergency veterinarians, technicians, and support staff who are experienced in handling critical cases, and you can trust us to provide your pet with the highest level of care during times of urgency.

Our services include many common emergency interventions:

  • Surgery: Surgical interventions for injuries and life-saving treatments.

When every second counts, our team is ready with the expertise, experience, and state-of-the-art equipment to provide the care your pet needs. Our advanced equipment and facilities support the diagnosis and treatment of critical cases, and we also understand the stress of emergencies and prioritize both your pet's and your own comfort and well-being.

If your pet is experiencing an emergency during our business hours, call our closest location, and we will begin to assist you even before you arrive. Our business hours are Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. We are closed on Saturdays & Sundays.

Poison Control offers free, expert, and confidential consultations over the phone and through their online platform. According to their own reporting, 4% of their phone consultations in 2020 were to assist pet owners whose pets had ingested poison.

(Please note that currently pet poisoning consultations can only be completed via phone call. The online platform is not currently able to provide poisoning information for animals.)

This is the 24-hour ASPCA Pet Poison Hotline. There is a $70 fee. However, if your pet has ingested poison, this cost could be well worth it. The organization has the most up-to-date and complete information, and you can call as many times as needed for that incident without further charges. They will consult with veterinarians on your pet’s case for no additional charge.
